Dwarka: During the coronavirus pandemic, the Dwarka Police is making all sorts of efforts to take care of the senior citizens living in their area. Dwarka Police is known for its continuous efforts towards ensuring safety of senior citizens.

As per DCP Anto Alphonse, Dwarka police contacted over 22,000 senior citizens to ask about their safety and well-being during the lockdown. The police contacted around 20,000 senior citizens over the phone to check about their health status.

On the other hand, the Dwarka police also visited the residences of 2,000 senior citizens in the sub-city. As per the DCP, they have put special focus on the senior citizens who are staying alone at their houses.

DCP Alphonse said that they advised the senior citizens to stay at their respective homes during the pandemic. Dwarka police is also reaching out to the senior citizens through video conferencing.

“We are leaving no stone unturned for the safety and security of the senior citizens living in the Dwarka district. We are giving them the needed assistance and also taking suggestions from them,” DCP Alphonse said.

“Our intention was to help them if they needed anything. Most of them have some health issues. We told them that we will provide them essential things like ration, medicine and milk at home,” said the DCP.
