SDMC Mayor inaugurates isolation centre at Andrews Ganj

New Delhi: Mayor Anamika Mithilesh, South Delhi Municipal Corporation, on Friday inaugurated an isolation centre for coronavirus patients at Andrews Ganj Primary School in New Delhi. The isolation centre has the capacity of 30 beds.

On the occasion, the Mayor said that the SDMC is making all sorts of efforts to help people during the pandemic. Asymptomatic patients will be treated at the isolation centre.

The isolation centre will provide facilities like oxygen cylinder, oximeter, infrared thermometer, glucometer, blood pressure machine, wheel chairs, electric steamer etc.

The officials said that serious patients will be immediately transferred to Safdarjung Hospital. All the patients will be provided a separate bed, chair, dust bin, digital thermometer, sanitiser, mask, gloves, towel and soap.

Delhi BJP President Adesh Gupta said that all the three municipal corporations are providing isolation centres in their respective zones. He said that he has requested the municipal councillors to earmark the spaces for isolation centres in consultation with the RWAs.
