Dwarka: Green Circle, in association with Venkateshwar Hospital, organised a webinar on pollution related diseases on Wednesday. The title of the webinar was ‘Pollution Related Disease – Symptoms and Remedies’.
Dr Tarun Bhatnagar, Consultant Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine, made the presentation. A total of 85 members attended the online program and it was well received by all.
Dr Tarun dealt at length about the impact of various pollutants like PM10, PM2.5 and other gases like NO2, CO2, SO2 etc.
He said that face masks like N95 are very useful to prevent pollution as well as COVID-19 virus.
He stressed that the virus does affect people who live in polluted areas like Delhi. He added that N95 masks are needed even while walking outdoors, when pollution is high.
