Joint police team formed to check rising crime cases in Dwarka

Dwarka: The crime cases have increased in Dwarka after the start of unlocking during the coronavirus pandemic. Especially the criminals, who were released on bail during the lockdown, have created a gang and started doing crime in the sub-city.

Now, Dwarka police has prepared a plan to control crime cases in the area. Gypsy of the police control room, Prakhar team which acts against street crime, highway bike patrolling team and local beat staff will come together and block all the entry and exit points of the sub-city.

There will be round the clock deployment at malls, banks, markets and parks.

Last night, Additional DCP RP Meena and SP Rajinder Singh briefed police officials of Dwarka subdivision outside police facilitation centre at Sector 6-10 market.

They guided the team on the ways to check crime. Additional DCP also advised the team to take precautions to safeguard themselves from coronavirus. SP Dwarka focussed on sharing the plans of the joint team.  

DCP Dwarka Anto Alphonse said that they are making endeavour to ensure a crime free area and safety of people. He said that swift action will be taken if any incident happens. He assured that police will continue to take appropriate steps to safeguard people against crime.
