Coronavirus in Delhi: Recovery rate above 83 pc; active cases down by 524
New Delhi: Delhi reported 1,475 fresh coronavirus cases taking the tally to 1,21,582 on Saturday. In the last 24 hours, 26 fatalities were reported which is lowest since June 9. The death toll has now reached 3,597.
Saturday was the eighth consecutive day when the number of fresh cases was in the range of 1,000-2,000. It prompts towards stagnation in a daily number of cases.
However, the silver lining was the number of recoveries. With recoveries of 1,973 patients, the total number of recoveries crossed 1 lakh mark on Saturday.
Now, a total of 1,01,274 patients have recovered from the deadly disease in the national capital. As a result, the recovery rate has now gone past 83 per cent.
Delhi has also seen a significant drop in the active cases. Active cases declined by 524 taking the total to 16,711. It was 17,235 on the previous day.
15,412 Rapid Antigen Tests and 6,246 RTPCR, CBNAAT and True NAAT tests were conducted on Saturday. A total of 21,658 tests were conducted. Till now, a total of 7,98,783 tests have been conducted in Delhi.
