52 new coronavirus cases in GB Nagar; active cases drop below 1,000

Noida: Uttar Pradesh’s Gautam Budh Nagar on Tuesday reported 52 new cases of Covid-19, pushing the district tally to 4,293, the official data showed.

The death toll linked to Covid-19 now stood at 40, the health bulletin said.

Till date, 3,274 patients have been discharged after recovery with 74 patients recovering in the last 24 hours.

The district’s recovery rate slightly improved to 76.26 per cent from 75.08 per cent on Monday, the data showed.

The district’s active cases now declined to 979 from 1,011 on Monday.

Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh reported 2,151 new cases and 37 deaths in the last 24 hours, the state health department said.

The total number of cases in the state now reached 53,288.

The state tally of active cases now stood at 20,204, while the death toll counted to 1,229. However, in a relief, a total of 31,855 patients have been discharged after recovery.
