New Delhi: Delhi reported 1,227 new coronavirus cases taking the tally to 1,26,323 on Wednesday. With 1,532 recoveries, the total number of recovered patients reached 1,07,650. 

As the numbers showed, recoveries again exceeded the new cases in the national capital. It affected the number of active cases. The active cases declined by 334, taking the total figures below 15,000. Now, there are 14,954 active cases.

With 29 fatalities reported in the last 24 hours, the toll increased to 3,719.  

The silver lining in the Delhi turnaround story has been the recovery rate. The recovery rate has now gone past 85 per cent. It is 85.22 per cent at the moment. India’s recovery rate stands at 63.13 per cent.

Meanwhile, the Health Minister Satyendar Jain said that the government will carry out a serological survey every month. It will be done to gauge the percentage of people who have developed antibodies against the coronavirus. 

The next sero-survey will be conducted between August 1 and 5.
