Thank you, City Spidey! — say residents of Samachar Apartments in Mayur Vihar Phase 1 Extension.
City Spidey recently solved a months-long problem faced by residents. That too on the very day a resident shared the problem with us!
A stinking drain adjacent to the society had become a nuisance for residents. The drain had not been cleaned for months, resulting in an unpleasant smell emanating from it, making things tough for the residents. To make matters worse, school buses used to collect the society's kids from right in front of the drain, making it impossible for residents to avoid the stench.
Kumud Upadhyay, a resident of the society, was the first one to have expressed this concern to City Spidey. "The stench is unbearable. I drop my grandchildren off for school and standing there even for a minute is unbearable. The drain is also a breeding ground for mosquitoes. East Delhi Municipal Corporation [EDMC] has not taken any step to clean it."
City Spidey took the matter to the Area Councillor Sandhya Verma right after and showed her pictures of the drain. Verma assured that a team of cleaning staff would reach the spot in 10 minutes to clean the drain.
After just 30 minutes, the Councillor herself was at the spot along with the EDMC staff. The drain was cleaned and Verma herself sent images of the drain to City Spidey. (Respect, Councillor Verma).
Residents are more than happy now and have lauded City Spidey's efforts to get the job done.
“Thank you City Spidey," said Sanket Upadhyay, a resident of Samachar Apartments. Anju Gupta, another resident echoed the same sentiments.
We at City Spidey are glad to be of service!TAGS: Samachar Apartments / Noida / EDMC / East Delhi Municipal Corporation / Mayur Vihar Phase 1 Extension /
