Gurugram: Gurugram recorded 98 new cases of Covid-19 on Saturday, pushing the district tally to 8,491, according to the district health department.

The overall death toll in the district now counted to 120, while 7,238 patients have recovered with 128 patients getting discharged after recovery in the last 24 hours in the district, the health bulletin said.

The district recovery rate slightly improved to 85.24 per cent from 84.71 per cent on Friday, according to the statistics.

The total number of active cases declined to 1,133, of which 12 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals. 114 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres whereas 77 are under observation at district Covid care centre. 930 patients are in home isolation.

Meanwhile, Haryana Covid-19 positive cases crossed 30,000 mark, with 783 new cases recorded on Saturday, pushing the state tally to 30,538, the state health bulletin said.

The state death toll now reached 389 with seven more persons succumbing to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours. However, in a relief, 701 patients have been recovered in the last 24 hours taking the tally to 23,654. The state recovery rate stood at 77.46 per cent, the data showed.

At present, the number of active cases stood at 6,495. The number of positive patients in critical care declined to 167, among these, 140 patients are on oxygen support, while 27 on ventilators.

The state Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 5.75 per cent while the fatality rate stood at 1.27 per cent. The state doubling rate of coronavirus cases is 23 days.
