Delhi registered 1,075 new cases taking the tally to 1,30,606 on Sunday.

New Delhi: Active cases significantly dropped due to more recoveries than the new cases in Delhi on Sunday. It is now below 12,000 mark. In the last 24 hours, active cases declined by 753 taking the total to 11,904. It was 12,657 a day before.

On Sunday, Delhi recorded 1,807 recoveries taking the total number of recovered persons to 1,14,875. The recovery rate is now almost 88 per cent.

On the other hand, Delhi registered 1,075 new cases taking the tally to 1,30,606. 

21 patients died due to coronavirus in the last 24 hours. The death toll has now reached 3,827 in the national capital.

Now, 6,976 patients are in home isolation. As per reports, most of the Covid care centres have lesser occupancy as people are preferring home isolation.

Lesser number of tests were conducted on Sunday. 5,032 RTPCR/CBNAAT/TrueNat tests and 12,501 rapid antigen tests were conducted. A total of 9,46,777 tests have been carried out in the national capital.

On Sunday, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tweeted, “Corona bed occupancy has come down sharply from 23 June to 26 July. Much lesser number of people are now falling ill. Most of those falling ill are getting treated at home. Therefore, very few people are now needing hospitalisation.”
