Gurugram: With 101 fresh cases, Gurugram tally of Covid-19 positive cases reached 8,821 on Tuesday, according to the district health department.

The death toll counted to 121 with one more person succumbing to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the data showed.

So far, 7,679 patients have been recovered from the infection with 121 patients having discharged after recovery in the last 24 hours in the district, the health bulletin said.

The district recovery rate slightly improved to 87.05 per cent from 86.67 per cent on Monday and 86.01 per cent on Sunday, according to the statistics.

The total number of active cases declined to 1,021, of which 5 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals. 81 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres whereas 104 are under observation at district Covid care centre. 831 patients are in home isolation.

Meanwhile, Haryana state recorded 749 new cases and nine deaths linked to coronavirus on Tuesday. The overall number of positive cases now counted to 32,876, while the deadly virus has claimed 406 lives so far in the state, the state health bulletin said.

As many as 712 patients have been recovered in the last 24 hours taking the tally of recovered patients to 25,758 in the state. The recovery rate slightly improved to 78.35 per cent from 77.96 per cent on Monday, the data showed.

At present, the number of active cases stood at 6,712. The number of positive patients in critical care declined to 144, among these, 129 patients are on oxygen support, while 15 on ventilators.

The state Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 5.82 per cent while the fatality rate stood at 1.23 per cent. The state doubling rate of coronavirus cases is 24 days.
