Noida: Gautam Budh Nagar’s Covid-19 tally has crossed 5,000 mark with 110 people testing positive of the infection on Thursday. The district tally has now reached to 5,071, while one more person succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, as per the official data.

So far, 4,299 patients have been recovered with 57 patients getting discharged from various hospitals during the last 24 hours in the district, the health bulletin said.

The district’s recovery rate slightly dropped to 84.77 per cent from 85.48 per cent on Wednesday, it showed.

The overall number of active cases rose to 730 from 679 on Wednesday, while the deadly disease has claimed 42 lives so far in the district, it showed.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh reported the highest single-day spike of 3,705 people testing positive for the infection, while 57 more persons succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health department said.

The state tally of positive cases has reached 81, 039, of which 32,649 is the total number of active cases. The state death toll counted to 1,587, while 46,803 patients have been discharged after recovery so far.
