Gurugram: Gurugram has crossed the 9,000 mark with 78 new cases of Covid-19 on Friday. The tally reached 9,067 in the district. So far, 123 people have died due to the deadly disease with one more person succumbing to the infection in the last 24 hours, according to the district health department.

The district’s total number of recovered cases now stands at 7,983 after 107 patients have been discharged during the 24 hours period, daily health bulletin said.

The district’s recovery rate slightly improved to 88.04 from 87.61 per cent on Thursday and 87.19 per cent on Wednesday, according to the statistics.

The total number of active cases declined to 961 from 991 on Thursday. Of the total active cases, 4 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals while 73 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres. 

As many as 107 are under observation at district Covid care centre. 777 patients are in home isolation. A total of 1,03,818 samples have been taken so far, of which 92,736 were found to be negative, it said.

Meanwhile, Haryana state recorded 711 new cases and four deaths linked to coronavirus. The overall number of positive cases now counted to 34,965, while the deadly virus has claimed 421 lives so far in the state, the state health bulletin said.

As many as 887 patients have been recovered in the last 24 hours taking the tally of recovered patients to 28,227 in the state. The recovery rate has jumped to 80.73 per cent, the data showed.

At the moment, the number of active cases stood at 6,317. The number of positive patients in critical care rose to 133, among these 116 patients are on oxygen support, while 17 on ventilators.

The state Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 5.76 per cent while the fatality rate declined to 1.20 per cent. The state doubling rate of coronavirus cases is 25 days.
