Noida: With 133 more people testing positive on Friday, Gautam Budh Nagar’s Covid-19 tally has now reached 5,203, as per the official data.
At the moment, there are 796 active cases in the district, while the death toll counted to 42 with a fatality rate of 0.80 per cent.
So far, 4,365 patients have been recovered with 66 patients getting discharged from various hospitals during the last 24 hours in the district, the health bulletin said.
The district’s recovery rate further dropped to 83.89 from 84.77 per cent on Thursday and 85.48 per cent on Wednesday, according to the statistics.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh reported the highest single-day spike of Covid-19 with 4,453 people testing positive for the infection, while 43 more persons succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health department said.
The state tally of positive cases has now reached 85,461, of which 34,968 are the total number of active cases. The state death toll counted to 1,630, while 48,863 patients have been discharged after recovery so far.
