Gurugram: 79 more people tested positive for Covid-19 on Sunday, pushing the Gurugram tally to 9,245, according to the district health department.

So far, the deadly disease has claimed 124 lives in the district, of whom, 86 patients had co-morbidities while 38 had no known disease, the daily health bulletin said.

The district’s total number of recovered cases jumped to 8,238 after 115 patients discharged during the 24 hours period, it said.

The district’s recovery rate saw a steady improvement as it further climbed to 89.10 per cent from 88.62 per cent on Saturday, 88.04 per cent on Friday, 87.61 per cent on Thursday and 87.19 per cent on Wednesday, according to the statistics.

The total number of active cases has now come down to 883. Of the total active cases, 4 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals while 85 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres. As many as 109 patients are under observation at district Covid care centre whereas 685 patients are in home isolation.

Till date, the district has taken 1,06,925 samples, of which 96,463 were found to be negative, it said.

Meanwhile, Haryana state recorded 761 new cases and five deaths linked to coronavirus. The overall number of positive cases now counted to 36,519, while the deadly virus has claimed 433 lives so far in the state, the state health bulletin said.

As many as 610 patients have been recovered in last 24 hours, taking the tally of recovered patients to 29,690 in the state. The state recovery rate stood at 81.30 per cent, the data showed.

At the moment, the number of active cases stood at 6,396. The number of positive patients in critical care declined to 124. Among these, 104 patients are on oxygen support, while 20 on ventilators.

The state Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 5.70 per cent while the fatality rate declined to 1.19 per cent. The state doubling rate of coronavirus cases is 25 days.
