Gurugram: With 43 new cases of Covid-19, Gurugram tally has reached 9,288 on Monday, according to the district health department.

So far, 8,338 patients have been discharged in the district after recovery, while the death toll counted to 124, the daily health bulletin said.

The district’s recovery rate reached another high of 89.77 per cent after 100 more people recovered from the infection during the 24 hours.

The recovery rate in the district saw a steady rise over a week. As on Sunday, it stood at 89.10 per cent, 88.62 per cent on Saturday, 88.04 per cent on Friday, 87.61 per cent on Thursday and 87.19 per cent on Wednesday, according to the statistics.

The total number of active cases has further dropped to 826. Of the total active cases, 4 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals, while 67 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres. As many as 106 are under observation at district Covid care centre whereas 648 patients are in home isolation.

Till date, the district has taken 1,07,632 samples, of which 97,637 were found to be negative, it said.

Meanwhile, Haryana state recorded 654 new cases and seven deaths linked to coronavirus. The overall number of positive cases now counted to 37,173, while the deadly virus has claimed 440 lives so far in the state, the state health bulletin said.

As many as 780 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the tally of recovered patients to 30,470 in the state. The state recovery rate stood at 81.97 per cent, the data showed.

At the moment, the number of active cases stood at 6,263. The number of positive patients in critical care rose to 130, among these, 110 patients are on oxygen support, while 20 on ventilators.

The state Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 5.70 per cent while the fatality rate declined to 1.18 per cent. The state doubling rate of coronavirus cases is 26 days.
