Gurugram: Gurugram recorded 46 new cases of Covid-19 on Tuesday, pushing the district tally to 9,334, according to the district health department.

The district’s overall recoveries have jumped to 8,453 after discharge of 115 more patients during the 24 hours period, the daily health bulletin said.

The district saw a gradual rise in recovery rate over a week and reached another high of 90.56 per cent. 

As on Monday, it stood at 89.77 per cent while it was 89.10 per cent on Sunday, 88.62 per cent on Saturday, 88.04 per cent on Friday, 87.61 per cent on Thursday and 87.19 per cent on Wednesday, according to the statistics.

Also, there has been a downward trend in the number of active cases with 757 active cases on Tuesday. 

Of the total active cases, 4 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals while 68 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres. As many as 103 are under observation at district Covid care centre whereas 582 patients are in home isolation.

So far, the deadly disease has claimed 124 lives in the district.

Till date, the district has taken 1,10,151 samples, of which 98,288 were found to be negative, it said.

Meanwhile, Haryana state recorded 623 new cases and eight deaths linked to coronavirus. The overall number of positive cases now counted to 37,796, while the deadly virus has claimed 448 lives so far in the state, the state health bulletin said.

As many as 756 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the tally of recovered patients to 31,226 in the state. The state recovery rate stood at 82.62 per cent, the data showed.

At the moment, the number of active cases stood at 6,122. The number of positive patients in critical care counted to 141, among these, 118 patients are on oxygen support, while 23 on ventilators.

The state Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 5.68 per cent while the fatality rate stood at 1.19 per cent. The state doubling rate of coronavirus cases is 26 days.
