1,299 fresh coronavirus cases in Delhi; active cases increase
New Delhi: Delhi recorded 1,299 fresh cases of coronavirus taking the tally to 1,41,531 on Thursday. With 15 fatalities in the last 24 hours, the death toll has reached 4,059.
For the second consecutive day, the new cases exceeded the recoveries on Thursday. 1,008 patients recovered in the last 24 hours taking the total recovery figure to 1,27,124 in the national capital so far.
As a result, there was a spike in active cases. Active cases increased by 276 in the last 24 hours. Delhi has now 10,348 active cases.
The positivity rate currently stood at 6.3 per cent and the recovery rate was over 89 per cent.
At present, 78 per cent of the beds are vacant in the Covid hospitals in the national capital. The number of people in home isolation is 5,244.
A total of 20,436 tests were conducted on Thursday. 14,699 rapid antigen tests and 5,737 RTPCR, CBNAAT and True NAAT were conducted in the last 24 hours. Approximately 11.2 lakh tests have been conducted in Delhi.
