Gurugram: 83 more people tested positive for Covid-19 in Gurugram, taking the district tally to 9,481 on Thursday, according to the district health department.

So far, the deadly disease has claimed 125 lives in the district, of whom, 87 patients had co-morbidities while 38 patients had no known disease.

The district’s overall recoveries have jumped to 8,639 after 91 more patients were discharged during the last 24 hours period, the daily health bulletin said.

The recovery rate reached another high of 91.11 per cent in the district which is the second highest among other districts in the state, according to the statistics.

The total number of active cases stood at 717, of which 2 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals. 62 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres whereas 88 are under observation at district Covid care centre. 565 patients are in home isolation.

Till date, the district has taken 1,15,440 samples, of which 1,03,389 were found to be negative, it said.

Meanwhile, Haryana state recorded 755 new cases and three deaths linked to coronavirus. The overall number of positive cases now counted to 39,303, while the deadly virus has claimed 458 lives so far in the state, the state health bulletin said.

As many as 680 patients have been recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the tally of recovered patients to 32,640 in the state. The state’s recovery rate slightly improved to 83.05 per cent from 82.91 per cent on Wednesday, the data showed.

At the moment, the number of active cases stood at 6,205. The number of positive patients in critical care counted to 127, among these, 113 patients are on oxygen support, while 14 on ventilators.

The state Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 5.68 per cent while the fatality rate stood at 1.17 per cent. The state doubling rate of coronavirus cases is 27 days.
