105 fresh coronavirus cases in GB Nagar; recovery rate improves
Noida: Uttar Pradesh’s Gautam Budh Nagar recorded 105 fresh cases of Covid-19 on Thursday, pushing the total infection tally to 5,748, according to the official data.
As many as 117 patients were treated and discharged during the 24 hours period, taking the overall recoveries in the district to 4,786, the health bulletin showed.
The district’s recovery rate slightly improved to 83.26 per cent from 82.72 per cent on Wednesday and 82.95 per cent on Tuesday, according to the statistics.
The district’s death toll counted to 43, with a mortality rate of 0.74 per cent, it showed.
At the moment, there are 919 active cases of the coronavirus infection in the district.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded 4,658 fresh cases on Thursday, while 63 more persons succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health department said.
The state tally of positive cases has now reached 1,08,974, of which, 63,402 patients were treated and discharged so far.
There are 43,654 active cases across the state while death toll counted to 1,918.
