Noida: Gautam Budh Nagar’s Covid-19 tally crossed 6,000 mark on Monday, as 71 more people tested positive, pushing the district’s cumulative figure to 6,016, according to the official data.

The district’s overall recoveries have jumped to 5,041 after 68 patients were treated and discharged during the last 24 hours, the health bulletin showed.

The district’s recovery rate has slightly improved to 83.79 per cent from 83.65 per cent on Sunday. It was 83.29 per cent on Saturday, 83.65 per cent on Friday and 83.26 per cent on Thursday, according to the statistics.

The number of active cases stood at 932 in the district, while the death toll counted to 43, with a mortality rate of 0.71 per cent, it showed.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded 4,197 fresh cases, while 51 more persons succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health department said.

The state tally of positive cases has now reached 1,26,722, of which, 76,724 patients were treated and discharged so far.

There were 47,878 active cases across the state while death toll counted to 2,120.
