Greater Noida: After getting approval from the board, the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) is all set to prepare its master plan for 2041.
As per the officials, the key points of the master plan would be boosting industrial activities and strengthening urban services.
The master plan, which was notified in March 2013, will be effective till March next year.
According to the GNIDA CEO Narendra Bhooshan, the concept note is being finalised and search for a consultant to make the plan will begin in next few weeks.
“Our objective is to boost industrial development. Urban services will also be strengthened.But without industrial development and local employment opportunities, residential colonies will not flourish. We are working on finalising our requirements internally and will invite applications from interested consultants and urban planners within next few weeks,” Bhooshan was quoted as saying by the TOI.
Once the master plan will become ready, it will be sent to the state government for approval. It will then be forwarded to the National Capital Region Planning Board for comments and suggestions.
