GB Nagar records 89 new coronavirus cases; no fatality since August 1

Noida: Uttar Pradesh’s Gautam Buddh Nagar recorded 89 new cases of Covid-19, taking the district tally to 6,101 on Tuesday, according to the official data.

As many as 160 patients were treated and discharged during the last 24 hours period, pushing the overall recoveries to 5,201 with a recovery rate of 85.24 per cent.

Till date, the deadly disease has claimed 43 lives in the district with a mortality rate of 0.70 per cent, it showed.

No death linked to the novel coronavirus has been reported in GB Nagar since August 1.

The number of active cases now stood at 857 in the district.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded 5,130 fresh cases, while 59 more persons succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health department said.

The state tally of positive cases has now reached 1,31,763, of which, 80,589 patients were treated and discharged so far.

There were 48,998 active cases across the state while death toll counted to 2,176.
