Gurugram: Gurugram recorded 98 new cases of Covid-19, taking the cumulative tally to 9,938 in the district on Wednesday, according to the district health department.

The death toll due to coronavirus climbed to 127 as one more person succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours, the health bulletin said.

As many as 82 patients were treated and discharged during the last 24 hours period, pushing the overall recoveries to 9,137 in the district. The recovery rate slightly dipped to 91.94 per cent from 92.02 per cent on Tuesday and 91.99 per cent on Monday, according to the statistics.

According to the health bulletin, there were 674 active cases across the district, of which, 8 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals. 76 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres whereas 26 are under observation at district Covid care centre. 564 patients are in home isolation.

Meanwhile, Haryana state recorded 797 new cases and three deaths linked to coronavirus. The overall number of positive cases has now reached 44,024, while the deadly virus has claimed 503 lives so far in the state, the state health bulletin said.

However, four districts including Panipat, Karnal, Hisar and Palwal did not report any cases in the last 24 hours, as per the state health bulletin.

As many as 612 patients have been recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the tally of recovered patients to 36,694 in the state. The state recovery rate slightly dipped to 83.35 per cent from 83.47 per cent on Tuesday, 83.65 per cent on Monday and 83.54 per cent on Sunday, the data showed.

At the moment, the number of active cases stood at 6,827. The number of positive patients in critical care counted to 156, among these, 132 patients are on oxygen support, while 24 on ventilators.

The state Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 5.64 per cent while the fatality rate stood at 1.14 per cent. The state doubling rate of coronavirus cases is every 29 days.
