Noida: Uttar Pradesh’s Gautam Budh Nagar recorded 55 new cases of Covid-19, pushing the district tally to 6,238, according to the official data on Thursday.
Of the total caseload, 5,363 patients have been recovered so far, with 86 more people being treated and discharged during the last 24 hours. The recovery rate slightly improved to 85.97 per cent from 85.36 per cent on Wednesday and 85.24 per cent on Tuesday, according to the statistics.
The total number of active cases also came down to 832 from 862 in the district, while 43 people died due to coronavirus. The mortality rate counted to 0.68 per cent, it showed.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded 4,603 fresh cases, while 50 more persons succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health department said.
The state tally of positive cases has now reached 1,40,775, of which, 88,786 patients were treated and discharged so far.
There were 49,709 active cases across the state while death toll counted to 2,280.
