Under new policy, registration of pet dogs to be made mandatory in Noida

Noida: The Noida Authority has approved a new pet dog policy where it will be made mandatory for owners to register their dogs. The registration fee will be Rs 500 and it will be subject to renewal every year. The failure to register dogs will attract a fine of Rs 5,000.

The new scheme could be named pet dog registration scheme. The authority has started searching for an agency which will implement the scheme in the city.

The agency will be collecting all the data of pet dogs in the city. It will also be ensuring vaccination for pet dogs.

The new agency will also be monitoring the issues related to pet dogs. The officials will be installing a chip on the dog collar. It will help the agency in better monitoring of pet dogs.

The installation of the chip will help the agency in case of any complaints against that dog. With the help of the chip, the agency will be able to gather all the information about the dog.

“After registration, a chip will be installed in the dog’s collar. In case of complaints, the agency will be able to retrieve information about that particular dog. The scheme was framed to help the people. The authority will also be able to get data about the number of pet and stray dogs in the city,” an official of Noida Authority said.
