New Delhi: Delhi recorded 1,398 fresh coronavirus cases, taking the tally to 1,56,139 on Wednesday. With 9 fatalities, the death toll reached 4,235 in the last 24 hours.

On the other hand, 1,320 patients recovered from the deadly disease on Wednesday. A total of 1,40,767 patients have recovered in the national capital so far. The recovery rate is 90.15 per cent.

The active cases increased by 69 in the national capital. Delhi has now 11,137 active cases. 5377 patients are being treated in home isolation.

14,498 rapid antigen tests and 6,317 RTPCR were conducted in the last 24 hours. The total number of tests done till date in Delhi stands at 13,58,189.

The number of containment zones stood at 560.

Meanwhile, the second serological survey showed that 29.1 per cent people have developed antibodies against the coronavirus in the national capital. 

Females had a higher rate of 32.2 per cent, whereas 28.3 per cent of males had these antibodies.

The result of the survey was announced by the health minister Satyendar Jain on Thursday.

“The second serological survey which was conducted between 1-7 August shows that 29.1% of people have developed antibodies against Covid-19. A total of 15,000 samples were collected during the survey,” said Jain.
