Noida: The city of Noida has secured 25th rank in the 2020 Swachh Survekshan Survey. In the past two years, the city’s ranking has jumped a whopping 125 positions. In 2018, the city was at 150th rank.
Moreover, Noida became the cleanest city in Uttar Pradesh.
The Noida Authority has made a lot of efforts to increase cleanliness in the city. To secure good rank in the survey, the authority had installed many lights and also painted the metro pillars.
The Noida Authority made efforts to make the city free from garbage. The door-to-door collection of garbage has started bearing fruits.
900 metric tonnes of garbage have been collected daily from the houses in 168 sectors in the city.
To make lives easier in the city, the authority had made approximately 60 community toilets, 140 public toilets and 10 pink toilets. Noida had secured 4403.2 points in the survey. 1,40,210 people from Noida participated in the survey.
Noida had also secured a 3-star rating in waste disposal. The city had got double plus rank in open defecation free ranking.
