Noida: Uttar Pradesh’s Gautam Budh Nagar recorded 79 new cases of Covid-19, pushing the district tally to 6,776, according to the official data on Thursday.
The district’s overall recoveries jumped to 5,939 after 67 more people were treated and discharged during the last 24 hours.
The recovery rate remained 87.64 per cent as it was on the previous day. It was 87.64 per cent on Wednesday, 87.61 per cent on Tuesday and 86.96 per cent on Monday, as per the statistics.
The total number of active cases has gone up to 794 from 785 from the previous day in the district, while 43 people died due to coronavirus. The mortality rate counted to 0.63 per cent, it showed.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded 95 deaths. It is the highest single-day casualty linked to Covid-19 in the state, pushing the toll to 2,733. Earlier, on August 18, the state had reported 77 deaths.
With 4,991 fresh cases, the state’s tally of positive cases has now reached 1,72,334. Of the total, 1,21,090 patients were treated and discharged so far, while there were 48,511 active cases across the state.
