New Delhi: Delhi recorded 1,412 fresh coronavirus cases, taking the tally above 1.6 lakh mark on Saturday. It was the highest single-day increase since July 18. 

As per officials in the health department, Delhi has witnessed a minor increase in the number of cases. On August 16, the seven-day average of new cases was 1,022. It increased to 1,155 on Saturday.

With 14 fatalities, the death toll reached 4,284 in the last 24 hours. 

On the other hand, 1,230 patients recovered from the deadly disease on Saturday. A total of 1,44,138 patients have recovered in the national capital so far. The recovery rate is 90.07 per cent. 

The active cases increased by 168 in the national capital. Delhi has now 11,594 active cases. 5,791 patients are being treated in home isolation. 

13,345 rapid antigen tests and 6,090 RTPCR, CBNAAT and TrueNat tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. The total number of tests done till date in Delhi stands at 14,12,363.

The positivity rate was 7.3 per cent in the previous 24 hours.

Out of 14,124 total beds in hospitals, 3,600 are occupied.
