79 fresh coronavirus cases in GB Nagar; no fatality reported in August
Noida: Gautam Budh Nagar recorded 79 fresh cases of Covid-19 on Sunday, pushing the district cumulative tally to 7,077, according to the official data.
So far, 43 patients have succumbed to the deadly disease in the district. While, the overall recoveries jumped to 6,195 after 51 patients were treated and discharged in the last 24 hours.
The district’s recovery rate slightly dipped to 87.53 per cent from 87.77 per cent on Saturday. It was 87.88 per cent on Friday, 87.64 per cent on Thursday and Wednesday, and 87.61 per cent on Tuesday, as per the statistics.
The number of active cases in the district has also gone up to 839 from 813 on Saturday and 793 on Friday.
No death linked to coronavirus has been reported in the district since August 1. The mortality rate counted to 0.60 per cent better from 0.61 per cent of the previous day.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh state recorded 5,423 new cases and 59 deaths in the state during the last 24 hours period.
The state’s tally of positive cases has now reached 1,87,781, of which, 1,35,613 patients were treated and discharged so far. The state’s recovery rate counted to 72.21 per cent.
There were 49,242 active cases across the state, while the death toll counted to 2,926.
