With 138 new cases, coronavirus tally rises to 7,216 in GB Nagar

Noida: Gautam Budh Nagar’s cumulative tally rose to 7,216 as 138 more people tested positive of Covid-19 on Monday, according to the official data.

The number of active cases in the district has also gone up to 927 from 839 on Sunday and 813 on Saturday. The death toll counted to 43 with a mortality rate of 0.59 per cent among the positive cases.

The district has recorded no deaths linked to coronavirus since August 1.

The overall recoveries counted to 6,246 after 51 patients were treated and discharged in the last 24 hours. The district’s recovery rate slightly dipped to 86.55 per cent from 87.53 per cent on Sunday. It was 87.77 per cent on Saturday, 87.88 per cent on Friday and 87.64 per cent on Thursday, as per the statistics.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded 4,677 new cases and 63 deaths in the state during the last 24 hours period, the state health bulletin said.

The state’s tally of positive cases has now reached 1,92,382, of which, 1,40,107 patients were treated and discharged so far. The state’s recovery rate counted to 72.82 per cent.

There were 49,288 active cases across the state, while the death toll counted to 2,987.
