114 new coronavirus cases in Gurugram; containment zones increase to 21

Gurugram: With 114 new cases of Covid-19, Gurugram’s cumulative tally reached 11,162 on Tuesday, according to the district health department.

The death toll due to coronavirus counted to 131, of whom, 92 patients had co-morbidities, while 39 patients had no known disease, the health bulletin said.

At the moment, there are 858 active cases in the district, of which, 10 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals while 78 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres. 10 are under observation at district Covid care centre. 760 patients are in home isolation.

As many as 83 patients were treated and discharged in the last 24 hours, taking the overall recoveries to 10,173 in the district with a recovery rate of 91.13 per cent. It was 91.32 per cent on Monday, 90.94 per cent on Sunday, 91.25 per cent on Saturday, and 91.24 per cent on Friday, according to the statistics.

Meanwhile, the district administration declared Jacobpura as a large coronavirus outbreak region. Moreover, the list of containment zones has also been increased from 7 to 21 amid the rising Covid-19 cases in the district.

As per the district administration’s directions for the areas falling in Containment Zones and Large Outbreak Region (LOR), no movement of people will be allowed except for essential services. There will be barricading at the entry and exit points of a containment zone.

As on Tuesday, the Haryana state reported 1,148 new cases and 10 deaths linked to Covid-19, pushing the state tally to 56,608 while death toll counted to 623.

The state has been adding more than 1,000 cases since August 21. It was 1,074 on Monday, 1,096 on Sunday, 1,161 on Saturday and 1,203 on Friday.

The overall recoveries jumped to 46,496 after 1,091 patients were treated and discharged in the last 24 hours. At the moment, there are 9,489 active cases across the state.

The recovery rate counted to 82.14 per cent, while the Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 5.69 per cent. The fatality rate stood at 1.10 per cent. The state doubling rate of coronavirus cases is every 33 days.
