90 fresh coronavirus cases in GB Nagar; recovery rate 86.86 pc

Noida: Gautam Budh Nagar recorded 90 new cases of Covid-19 on Tuesday, pushing the district’s cumulative tally to 7,303, according to the official data.

In a relief, 98 patients were discharged during the last 24 hours, taking the overall recoveries to 6,344 with a recovery rate of 86.86 per cent. It was 86.55 per cent on Monday, 87.53 per cent on Sunday, 87.77 per cent on Saturday, and 87.88 per cent on Friday, as per the statistics.

The number of active cases in the district has come down to 916 from 927 on Monday. The death toll counted to 43 with a mortality rate of 0.58 per cent among the positive cases.

The district has recorded no deaths linked to coronavirus since August 1.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded 5,124 new cases and 73 deaths in the state during the last 24 hours period, the state health bulletin said.

The state’s tally of positive cases has now reached 1,97,388, of which, 1,44,754 patients were treated and discharged so far. The state’s recovery rate counted to 73.33 per cent.

There were 49,575 active cases across the state, while the death toll counted to 3,059.
