Gurugram: Gurugram recorded 126 fresh cases of Covid-19, pushing the district’s cumulative tally to 11,288 on Wednesday, according to the district health department.

So far, the deadly disease has claimed 131 lives in the district, the health bulletin said.

As many as 94 patients were treated and discharged in the last 24 hours, taking the overall recoveries to 10,267 in the district. The recovery rate slightly dropped to 90.95 per cent from 91.13 per cent on Tuesday. It was 91.32 per cent on Monday, 90.94 per cent on Sunday, 91.25 per cent on Saturday, and 91.24 per cent on Friday, according to the statistics.

According to the health bulletin, the number of active cases in the district has also gone up to 890 from 858 on Tuesday. Of the total active cases, 8 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals while 77 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres. 10 are under observation at district Covid care centre. 795 patients are in home isolation.

Meanwhile, Haryana recorded a single-day highest spike of Covid-19 with 1,397 new cases, pushing the state’s tally to 58,005. The death toll rose to 634 as 11 more people succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours.

The overall recoveries counted to 47,613 after 1,117 patients were treated and discharged in the last 24 hours. At the moment, there are 9,758 active cases across the state.

The recovery rate counted to 82.08 per cent, while the Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 5.69 per cent. The fatality rate stood at 1.09 per cent. The state’s doubling rate of coronavirus cases is every 33 days.
