Noida: Gautam Budh Nagar recorded 89 new cases of Covid-19, while one person succumbed to the infection, according to the official data on Wednesday.

The district’s total caseload rose to 7,376, while death toll counted to 44. The district’s mortality rate among the positive cases stood at 0.59 per cent, the health bulletin said.

As many as 62 patients have been discharged during the last 24 hours, taking the overall recoveries to 6,406. The recovery rate slightly dropped to 86.84 per cent from 86.86 per cent on Tuesday. It was 86.55 per cent on Monday, 87.53 per cent on Sunday, 87.77 per cent on Saturday, and 87.88 per cent on Friday, as per the statistics.

The number of active cases in the district has gone up to 926 from 916 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh has crossed the mark of two lakh with 5,898 new cases reported on Wednesday, pushing the state’s tally to 2,03,028.

The death toll counted to 3,141 as 82 deaths linked to coronavirus recorded during the last 24 hours period, the state health bulletin said.

Of the total caseload, 1,48,562 patients were treated and discharged so far, while there are 51,325 active cases across the state. The state’s recovery rate counted to 73.17 per cent.
