112 new coronavirus cases in GB Nagar; death toll rises to 45

Noida: With 112 more people testing positive of Covid-19, Gautam Budh Nagar’s cumulative tally reached 7,487 on Thursday, according to the official data.

The district recorded one more fatality in the last 24 hours, pushing the death toll to 45 with a mortality rate of 0.60 per cent among the positive cases.

As many as 77 patients have been discharged during the 24 hours, taking the overall recoveries to 6,483. The recovery rate slightly dropped to 86.59 per cent from 86.84 per cent on Wednesday. It was 86.86 per cent on Tuesday, 86.55 per cent on Monday, 87.53 per cent on Sunday, and 87.77 per cent on Saturday, as per the statistics.

The number of active cases in the district has gone up to 959 from 926 on Wednesday and 916 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded 5,463 fresh cases and 79 deaths linked to coronavirus in the last 24 hours. The state cumulative tally rose to 2,08,419, while the death toll counted to 3,217, the state health bulletin said.

Of the total caseload, 1,52,893 patients were treated and discharged so far, while there are 52,309 active cases across the state. The state’s recovery rate counted to 73.35 per cent.
