Noida: Gautam Budh Nagar recorded 121 fresh cases of Covid-19 on Saturday, pushing the district’s cumulative tally to 7,729, according to the official data.

The district’s overall recoveries counted to 6,682 after 87 patients were treated and discharged during the 24 hours period. The recovery rate slightly dropped to 86.45 per cent from 86.65 per cent on Friday. It was 86.59 per cent on Thursday, 86.84 per cent on Wednesday, 86.86 per cent on Tuesday, 86.55 per cent on Monday, and 87.53 per cent on Sunday, as per the statistics.

The active case rose to 1,002 from 971 on Friday. The number of active cases in the district stayed below the mark of 1,000 since July 10 with 1,008 active cases. However, with the recent spike in the cases, there has been a gradual upward trend in the active cases as well.

The district’s death toll counted to 45 with a mortality rate of 0.58 per cent among the positive cases.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded 5,684 fresh cases and 62 deaths linked to coronavirus in the last 24 hours. The state’s cumulative tally rose to 2,19,457, while the death toll counted to 3,356, the state health bulletin said.

Of the total caseload, 1,62,741 patients were treated and discharged so far, while there are 53,360 active cases across the state. The state’s recovery rate counted to 74.15 per cent, while the mortality rate stood at 1.53 per cent.
