Gurugram: Gurugram recorded 113 fresh cases of Covid-19 on Monday, taking the district’s cumulative tally to 11,917, according to the district health department.

The overall recoveries counted to 10,790 after 84 patients were treated and discharged during the 24 hours period. The district’s recovery rate slightly dropped to 90.54 from 90.69 per cent on Sunday. It was 90.92 per cent on Saturday, 90.43 per cent on Friday, 90.64 per cent on Thursday, and 90.95 per cent on Wednesday, according to the statistics.

According to the health bulletin, the number of active cases in the district has gone up to 994 from 965 on Sunday and 927 on Saturday. Of the total active cases, 22 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals, while 98 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres. 16 are under observation at district Covid care centre. 858 patients are in home isolation.

The district’s death toll linked to coronavirus counted to 133, of whom, 93 patients had co-morbidities while 40 patients had no known disease, the health bulletin said.

Meanwhile, Haryana recorded its highest single-day spike with 1,450 new cases, taking the state’s tally to 64,732. Earlier, the state reported a huge spike in a day with 1,397 on August 26.

The death toll counted to 689 as seven more patients succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours. The state’s overall recoveries counted to 52,672, while the total number of active cases stood at 11,371.

The state’s recovery rate counted to 81.37 per cent, while the Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 5.66 per cent. The fatality rate stood at 1.06 per cent. The state’s doubling rate of coronavirus cases is every 34 days.
