Gurugram: Gurugram’s cumulative tally crossed the mark of 12,000 as 196 more people tested positive of Covid-19 on Tuesday. The district’s total caseload counted to 12,113, while the death toll stood at 133, according to the district health department.

Also, the number of active cases breached the mark of 1,000 with 1,048 active cases currently being treated across the district. There has been a continuous spike in the number of active cases with 994 on Monday, 965 on Sunday, 927 on Saturday, 973 on Friday, and 937 on Thursday.

Of the total active cases, 20 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals, while 131 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres. 20 are under observation at the district Covid care centre whereas 877 patients are in home isolation.

The district’s overall recoveries counted to 10,932 after 142 patients were treated and discharged during the last 24 hours period. The district’s recovery rate slightly dropped to 90.25 per cent from 90.54 per cent on Monday. It was 90.69 per cent on Sunday, 90.92 per cent on Saturday, and 90.43 per cent on Friday, according to the statistics.

Meanwhile, Haryana recorded its single-day highest spike with 1,694 new cases, pushing the state’s tally to 66,426, the state health bulletin said.

The death toll counted to 706 as 17 more patients succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours. The state’s overall recoveries counted to 53, 835, while the total number of active cases stood at 11,885.

The state’s recovery rate counted to 81.05 per cent, while the Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 5.69 per cent. The fatality rate stood at 1.06 per cent. The state’s doubling rate of coronavirus cases is every 34 days.
