Noida: With 138 more people testing positive of Covid-19 on Thursday, Gautam Budh Nagar’s cumulative tally reached 8,333, according to the official data.

The death toll jumped to 46 as one more person succumbed to infection in the last 24 hours. The district’s fatality rate slightly increased to 0.55 per cent from 0.54 per cent, the data showed.

The district’s overall recoveries counted to 7,124 after 86 patients were treated and discharged during the last 24 hours period. The recovery rate slightly dropped to 85.49 per cent from 85.86 per cent on Wednesday. It was 86.20 per cent on Tuesday, 86.18 per cent on Monday, 86.54 per cent on Sunday, and 86.45 per cent on Saturday, as per the statistics.

According to the health bulletin, the total number of active cases has gone up to 1,163 from 1,114 on Wednesday. There has been a continuous spike in the number of active cases in the district with 1,067 on Tuesday, 1,055 on Monday, 1,009 on Sunday and 1,002 on Saturday, as per the data.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded 5,776 fresh cases and 76 deaths linked to coronavirus in the last 24 hours. The state’s cumulative tally rose to 2,47,101, while the death toll counted to 3,691, the state health bulletin said.

Of the total caseload, 1,85,812 patients were treated and discharged so far, while there are 57,598 active cases across the state. The state’s recovery rate counted to 75.19 per cent, while the mortality rate stood at 1.49 per cent.
