229 new coronavirus cases in Gurugram; active cases climb to 1,372
Gurugram: With 229 more people testing positive of Covid-19 on Friday, Gurugram’s cumulative tally reached 12,750, while the district’s death toll counted to 135, according to the district health department.
For the second consecutive days, the district is adding more than 200 cases on a daily basis.
The district’s total number of active cases further climbed up to 1,372 from 1,265 on Thursday. It was 1,145 on Wednesday and 1,048 on Tuesday.
Of the total active cases, 18 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals, while 122 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres. 26 are under observation at district Covid care centre whereas 1,206 patients are in home isolation.
As many as 122 patients have discharged after recovery during the last 24 hours period, taking the overall recoveries to 11,243. The district’s recovery rate slightly dropped to 88.18 per cent from 88.81 per cent on Thursday. It was 89.60 per cent on Wednesday, 90.25 per cent on Tuesday, 90.54 per cent on Monday, and 90.69 per cent on Sunday, according to the statistics.
Meanwhile, Haryana recorded its single-day highest spike with 1,884 fresh cases, taking the state’s total infection tally to 71,983. There has been a huge spike in the daily cases being reported with 1,881 on Thursday, 1,792 on Wednesday, 1,694 on Tuesday and 1,450 on Monday.
The state’s death toll counted to 759 as 19 more patients succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours. The state’s overall recoveries counted to 57,171, while the total number of active cases stood at 14,053.
The state’s recovery rate counted to 79.42 per cent, while the Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 5.81 per cent. The fatality rate stood at 1.05 per cent. The state’s doubling rate of coronavirus cases is every 33 days.
