Gurugram: With 265 fresh cases of Covid-19, Gurugram’s tally crossed 13,000 mark on Saturday. The district’s cumulative tally reached 13,015 in the last 24 hours, according to the district health department.

The district’s death toll jumped to 137 as two more persons succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the health bulletin said.

The number of active cases further rose to 1,520 from 1,372 on Friday. The district has witnessed a steady increase in the number of active cases with 1,265 on Thursday, 1,145 on Wednesday and 1,048 on Tuesday. 

Of the total active cases, 22 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals, while 140 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres. 26 are under observation at district Covid care centre whereas 1,332 patients are in home isolation.

As many as 115 patients were discharged after recovery during the last 24 hours period, taking the overall recoveries to 11,358. 

The district’s recovery rate slightly dropped to 87.26 per cent from 88.18 per cent. It was 88.81 per cent on Thursday, 89.60 per cent on Wednesday, 90.25 per cent on Tuesday, 90.54 per cent on Monday, and 90.69 per cent on Sunday, according to the statistics.

Meanwhile, Haryana recorded its single-day highest spike with 2,289 fresh cases, taking the state’s total infection tally to 74,272. The state has reported higher daily numbers over a week with 1,884 on Friday, 1,881 on Thursday, 1,792 on Wednesday, 1,694 on Tuesday and 1,450 on Monday.

The state’s death toll counted to 781 as 22 more patients succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours. The state’s overall recoveries counted to 58,580, while the total number of active cases stood at 14,911.

The state’s recovery rate counted to 78.87 per cent, while the Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 5.89 per cent. The fatality rate stood at 1.05 per cent. The state’s doubling rate of coronavirus cases is every 33 days.
