Noida metro resumes services; only one gate open at 15 stations

Noida: The Noida metro services resumed with strict norms on Monday. Only one gate was functional at 15 stations on the Aqua Line. On the rest of six stations, both the gates were open.

Only one gate was open at Sector 101 station, Sector 81 station, NSEZ station, Sector 83 station, Sector 137 station, Sector 142 station, Sector 143 station, Sector 144 station, Sector 145 station, Sector 146 station, Sector 147 station, Sector 148 station, Alpha -1 station, Delta -1 station and GNIDA Office station.

On the other hand, both the gates were open at Sector 50, Sector 51, Sector 76, Pari Chowk, Knowledge Park-II, and Depot metro stations. 

The Noida Metro Rail Corporation had earlier stated that passengers will have to maintain adequate social distancing at the stations and also inside the trains. Suitable markings have been done inside the coaches to maintain social distancing.

Wearing masks was made mandatory for travel inside the Noida metro. The NMRC earlier announced that there will be a fine of Rs 500 for persons found without masks. 

There are also arrangements of thermal screening at the stations. Persons with temperature above 37.7 degrees Celsius will not be allowed to travel inside the metro.

The metro services timings on Monday to Saturday are 7 am to 11 am and 5 pm to 9 pm. The trains will run at a frequency of 15 minutes.
