With 306 new cases, coronavirus tally reaches 13,321 in Gurugram

Gurugram: Gurugram’s cumulative tally rose to 13,321 on Sunday as 306 more people tested positive of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, according to the district health department.

The number of active cases further rose to 1,686 from 1,520 on Saturday. It was 1,372 on Friday, 1,265 on Thursday, 1,145 on Wednesday and 1,048 on Tuesday, as per the data.

Of the total active cases, 26 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals, while 149 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres. 25 are under observation at district Covid care centre whereas 1,486 patients are in home isolation.

The district’s death toll counted to 137, while the overall recoveries rose to 11,498 after 140 patients were discharged after recovery during the 24 hours period.

The district’s recovery rate slightly dropped to 86.31 per cent from 87.26 per cent on Saturday. It was 88.18 per cent on Friday, 88.81 per cent on Thursday, 89.60 per cent on Wednesday, 90.25 per cent on Tuesday, 90.54 per cent on Monday, and 90.69 per cent on Sunday, according to the statistics.

Meanwhile, Haryana recorded 2,277 fresh cases, taking the state total infection tally to 76,549, while the death toll counted to 806 as 25 more patients succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours.

The state’s overall recoveries counted to 60,051, while the total number of active cases stood at 15,692.

The state’s recovery rate counted to 78.45 per cent, while the Covid-19 positive rate counted to 5.94 per cent. The fatality rate stood at 1.05 per cent. The state’s doubling rate of coronavirus cases is every 33 days.
