Noida: Weekend lockdown was completely lifted in the city, as per the orders of the Noida Authority. Now, there will be no lockdown on Sunday, which was earlier in force as per the Unlock 4 guidelines.
The markets are expected to be open as per normal routine on weekends in Noida. The move came after the revocation of the Sunday restrictions by the Uttar Pradesh government.
The state government had earlier ordered closure of all markets, commercial establishments, and offices on Saturdays and Sundays.
The decision was taken to carry out the sanitisation work in many areas. The weekend curbs on Sundays were brought into effect earlier this month.
Now, with no curbs at all on weekends, the normalcy has returned to the city as it was in pre-Covid times.
However, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had called for strict compliance to the Covid guidelines while addressing his team on Tuesday. He also emphasised on enhancing the medical infrastructure to take care of the rising cases.
