Gurugram: Gurugram recorded its highest single-day spike as 326 more people tested of Covid-19 on Saturday, pushing the district’s tally to 14,910, according to the district health department.

The district’s death toll rose to 145 as two more patients succumbed to the deadly infection in the last 24 hours, the health bulletin said.

The number of active cases further increased to 2,168 from 2,040 on Friday. It was 1,951 on Thursday, 1,858 on Wednesday, 1760 on Tuesday, 1,682 on Monday, and 1,686 on Sunday, as per the data.

Of the total active cases, 19 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals, while 179 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres. 25 are under observation at district Covid care centre whereas 1,945 patients are in home isolation.

The district’s overall recoveries counted to 12,597 after 196 patients were treated and discharged during the last 24 hours period. The recovery rate further slipped to 84.48 per cent from 85.03 per cent on Friday. It was 85.37 per cent on Thursday, 85.71 per cent on Wednesday, 86.01 per cent on Tuesday, and 86.47 per cent on Monday, according to the statistics.

Meanwhile, Haryana recorded 2,783 fresh cases, taking the state’s total infection tally to 91,115, while the death toll counted to 956 as 24 more persons succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours.

The state’s overall recoveries counted to 70,713, while the total number of active cases stood at 19,446.

The state’s recovery rate counted to 77.61 per cent, while the Covid-19 positive rate counted to 6.26 per cent. The fatality rate stood at 1.05 per cent. The state’s doubling rate of coronavirus cases is every 29 days.
