Noida: With 186 fresh cases of Covid-19 on Sunday, Gautam Budh Nagar’s cumulative tally reached 10,192, according to the official data.

The number of active cases is continuously rising. It has breached the mark of 2,000 with 2,008 patients being treated at various facilities across the district. 

With the daily spike of positive cases in the district, there has been an upward trend in the number of active cases as well. It was 1,990 on Saturday, 1,909 on Friday, 1820 on Thursday, 1,696 on Wednesday, and 1,599 on Tuesday, as per the data.

As many as 168 patients were treated and discharged during the last 24 hours period, taking the district’s overall recoveries to 8,136. The recovery rate slightly improved to 79.82 per cent from 79.63 per cent. It was 80.04 per cent on Friday, 80.55 per cent on Thursday, 81.35 per cent on Wednesday, and 81.96 per cent on Tuesday, the data showed.

So far, the deadly disease has claimed 48 lives in the district and the fatality rate among the positive cases remained at 0.47 per cent.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded 6,239 new cases, pushing the state’s tally to 3,12,036, while the death toll counted to 4,429, as 80 persons succumbed to deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.

Of the state’s total caseload, there are 68,122 active cases, while 2,39,485 patients have been recovered so far. The state’s recovery rate counted to 76.74 per cent, while the mortality rate stood at 1.41 per cent.
