Noida: Gautam Budh Nagar’s cumulative tally rose to 10,332 as 141 more people tested positive of Covid-19 on Monday, according to the official data.

In a relief, 169 patients have been recovered during the 24 hours period, taking the district’s overall recoveries to 8,305. The number of daily recovered patients exceeded the positive cases for the first time since August 28.

The recovery rate slightly improved to 80.38 per cent from 79.82 per cent on Sunday. It was 79.63 per cent, 80.04 per cent on Friday, 80.55 per cent on Thursday, and 81.35 per cent on Wednesday, the data showed.

The number of active cases in the district slightly dropped to 1,979 from 2,008 on Sunday. It was 1,990 on Saturday, 1,909 on Friday, 1,820 on Thursday, and 1,696 on Wednesday, as per the data.

So far, the deadly disease has claimed 48 lives in the district and the fatality rate among the positive cases stood at 0.46 per cent, better from 0.47 per cent on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded 5,208 new cases, pushing the state’s tally to 3,17,195, while the death toll counted to 4,491, as 62 persons succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.

Of the state’s total caseload, there are 67,287 active cases, while 2,45,417 patients have been recovered so far.
The state’s recovery rate counted to 77.37 per cent, while the mortality rate stood at 1.41 per cent.
