Noida: Gautam Budh Nagar recorded 152 fresh cases of Covid-19 on Tuesday, taking the district’s cumulative tally to 10,482, according to the official data.

However, in a relief, 201 patients were treated and discharged during the 24 hours period, taking the district’s overall recoveries to 8,506. This is the second successive day when the district’s number of recovered patients exceeded the daily positive cases.

The recovery rate further improved to 81.14 per cent from 80.38 per cent on Monday. It was 79.82 per cent on Sunday, 79.63 per cent, 80.04 per cent on Friday, and 80.55 per cent on Thursday, the data showed.

With the recovery of 201 patients, there was also a decline in the number of active cases in the district, which further slipped to 1,928 from 1,979 on Monday. It was 2,008 on Sunday, 1,990 on Saturday, 1,909 on Friday, and 1,820 on Thursday, as per the data.

The district’s death toll counted to 48 and the fatality rate among the positive cases stood at 0.45 per cent, better from 0.46 per cent on Monday and 0.47 per cent on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded 113 deaths, linked to coronavirus in the last 24 hours. It is the highest single-day death count so far, pushing the state’s death toll to 4,604, the state health bulletin said.

With 6,895 new cases, the state’s tally rose to 3,24,036, of which, 67,335 are active cases, while 2,52,097 patients have been recovered so far.

The state’s recovery rate counted to 77.79 per cent, while the mortality rate stood at 1.42 per cent.
